Calvarese grew up in Highlands Ranch, which is part of this district, along with the Eastern Plains and other Front Range cities like Loveland, Castle Rock and Parker.
She faces Republican Lauren Boebert. They are competing to fill the seat left open by Ken Buck, who retired earlier this year, which has been temporarily filled by Greg Lopez, who's not seeking election this fall.
