"What’s your message to the president?"
That’s what the StudentCam documentary contest asked students across the country. For high school junior Lily Mauro who attends Vista Peak Preparatory in Aurora, the question became more than a prompt; it was a call to make something meaningful. She turned to poetry, interviews and film to explore what unity and leadership mean in her community. Her film "My Message to the President: A Story of Unity and Advocacy" earned an honorable mention in the 2025 StudentCam competition.
