Colorado Day is Saturday, August 1. It marks the day in 1876 when Colorado became a state. It turns out the design of the current state flag was based on the fact that people didn't realize a state flag already existed. Brian Trembath, the special collections librarian at the Denver Public Library, joined us in 2019 to explain.
