When soldiers return from war, their families often say they’re more fearful, tense, and forgetful. As part of our series Coming Home, about the lasting effects of the war in Iraq on Colorado, we’re going to learn about Project Sanctuary. The organization takes veterans and their families on week-long retreats to the mountains to help them adjust to life after war. Project Sanctuary recently won an award at the White House. CPR’s Andrea Dukakis went to a recent retreat and speaks about it with Ryan Warner.
