Democrat Polly Baca of Denver has been to every one of the party’s presidential nominating conventions since 1964. This year, Baca is a DNC delegate and a member of the electoral college.

Baca said the party united quickly around Vice President Kamala Harris’ candidacy but must work tirelessly to ensure her election in November. The last time Democrats ran a woman, she said, they took it for granted that Hillary Clinton would win and failed to recognize Donald Trump’s strength in swing states.
