One of the film's co-stars is Scott Takeda, a Denver resident and former photojournalist for CBSDenver. Takeda has a recurring role in the soap opera "Days Of Our Lives" and has been seen in the films "Gone Girl" and "Dallas Buyers Club."
In researching his "Space" role as Dr. Gary Loh, Takeda didn't have to look far for technical support, finding Dr. Scott Parazynski. Parazynski, who calls Evergreen, Colorado one of his hometowns, is an astronaut physician who has flown on five space shuttle missions.
