Doctor: The Key To Surviving The Plague Is A Fast Diagnosis

Four people have been infected with the plague this year in Colorado and two of those cases have been fatal. The plague killed tens, if not hundreds, of millions of people in the 14th century. Today, it can be treated effectively with antibiotics. Still, it poses a significant threat if not diagnosed quickly.

Dr. Jennifer House, with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, spoke about the plague with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner.
