In 1884, Evelyn Booth and his buddies left England on an adventure. They spent months carousing, brawling and shooting their way across the United States. Somewhere between the game hunting and brothel visits, they befriended a legend, Buffalo Bill Cody. His Wild West show was floundering and Booth offered help.
Booth documented their adventures in a blue leather diary that sat largely unnoticed for decades at the Denver Public Library until an archivist there, Kellen Cutsforth, started to verify the tales and transcribe them. The result is a new book, "Buffalo Bill, Boozers, Brothels, and Bare-Knuckle Brawlers: An Englishman's Journal of Adventure in America."
