On April 8, 2024 a total solar eclipse will darken skies across a broad swath of North America. Those in the direct path of the eclipse will see the moon cover the sun entirely. Viewers in Colorado will see about 70 percent coverage. Astronomer Doug Duncan says there's nothing quite like a total eclipse when temperatures drop, shadows sharpen and even wildlife stops for a look. Duncan is the former director of the Fiske Planetarium at the University of Colorado Boulder.
