The government shutdown ended this week when a deal was struck in Congress to keep the nation from defaulting on its debt. For 16 days, many federal employees were furloughed, at home with no pay. Ryan Warner talks with Matt Shaw, of Golden. Last week, he talked to us about being furloughed. He reached us through the Public Insight Network. Today, with the shutdown now over, Shaw is finally back at work for the Department of the Interior.
Also, we hear from a listener about Wednesday's story about the trial of an Ethiopian immigrant in Denver with ties to that country’s bloody civil war.
