The state Division of Wildlife is declaring success. Eleven years after it re-introduced lynx into Colorado’s wilderness, the cats have made a real home here. In the 1970s, it looked like lynx had disappeared from the state. In 2000, the cats were listed as a federally threatened species. This success story includes some ups and downs... as Rick Kahn will tell you. He’s a wildlife biologist who led the reintroduction.
