Wendy Videlock is the newest Western Slope Poet Laureate. She was honored in May during a ceremony with the Grand Valley Creative Alliance and the Telluride Institute. Videlock has published seven books, including five poetry collections. She paints and writes from her home in Palisade. Videlock is hoping to encourage people to take down "their anti-poetry deflector shields."
