Denver architect Ed White died on April 29. He was 92. If you’ve read Jack Kerouac’s novel “On the Road,” you may remember White as the character “Tim Gray.”
White and Kerouac met at Columbia University and remained friends until the writer’s death in 1969. Meanwhile, White left his mark on Denver with his architecture, including the Boettcher Memorial Tropical Conservatory at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and historic preservation work. Mike McPhee wrote about White’s life for The Denver Post. He spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner.
