Warren Washington advised six presidents on climate change. He also helped create one of the first computer models of Earth’s climate. He was only the second African American in the United States to earn a doctorate in meteorology. Washington died in October 2024 at his home in Denver. He was 88. Ryan spoke with him about his pioneering legacy in 2019.
