Roads allow us to easily reach some of Colorado’s most rugged places. In Southwest Colorado, hundreds of miles of those roads were first built by a driven businessman named Otto Mears, also known as the "Pathfinder of the San Juans." Mears, who came to this country as an orphan from Russia, had many other careers, too. The Ouray County Historical Museum has an exhibit on his influential life in Colorado. Curator Don Paulson speaks with Ryan Warner.
