Target, Home Depot, the IRS, LinkedIn have all experienced serious data breaches of private customer information in the past few years. Things may get worse before they get better in part because there's a serious shortage of people who can stop cyberthreats. The shortage of women working on solutions is even more pronounced.
The state's chief information security officer, Debbi Blyth, and 17-year-old Shreya, of Highlands Ranch, spoke with Colorado Matters about a new program to get young women interested in the field. Shreya competed in national contests for students interested in cybersecurity.
